A long time ago,
In a galaxy far, far away . . .

Well, here I sit, just like back in college, during the bewitching hours, at the last minute, trying to eek out yet another verbal/written/typed masterpiece. It is 3:00 a.m. and the site officially launches in less than 5 hours. It is always quiet at these times, as it was back then, with the new exceptions of an Athlon computer system humming away, Tool playing on the ol' speakers and the cats and dogs fighting in the other room. But I digress. Back to our story, already in progress.
Well, I started here in Tacoma back in the fall of 1986, attending the wonderful school UPS, hoping to major in computer science and go to work for my idol George Lucas (not Jacob's father either). My money went to the University of Puget Sound, but my studies were done at the University of Party and Sex. Needless to say that by the end of Spring Term, my 1.9 GPA was not going to impress my folks, let alone G.L. So after a summer of fighting forest fires and determining that I was NOT cut out for intense physical labor for the rest of my life, turned my sights to the more noble persuit of becoming a teacher. And I loved it, and excelled at it, much to my surprise.
Then I got bit by the acting bug, and with only 1 1/2 terms left before I graduated as a teacher, I announced to my parents with my newly found flair for the dramatic, that I, Scott C. Brown was going to become an Ac-Tor! And now for something completely different. I graduated, got married, got a number of jobs in the computer circuit board industry, got divorced, worked at Home Depot (that was the REAL low spot) moved on to Hewlett Packard in Vancouver, and then as a CAD Draftsman/Computer Geek/Webmaster/whatever-else-had-to-do-with-the-damn-machines here in Tacoma. Met the woman of my dreams, left to start my own company, met Travis, got married (no, not to Travis, to Erika), and the rest is, as they say, just the beginning.
I met Travis through my step son, at a pivotal time in my newly entered entreprenurial (I just like trying to spell that) career as a web designer and host. I needed graphics to create an identity, and Travis was good enough to come to my rescue. All I remembered from numerous college art classes was that orange and blue are at the opposite sides of the color wheel, and therefore dynamic. What I needed was something to capture the Web enterprises that I was embarked on, and have that marketable, identifiable Icon. And Travis came through, in a big way. I had remarked to him that I really wanted some sort of inspiring thing to happen to me, like Charlotte helping save poor old Wilbur's life. And that was all he needed.

Hey maw! I think I have been branded!!

Thanks Trav, for everything.
