Colin

     Writer / Associate Creative Director

Once upon a time, Colin Blanchette used to smuggle his new comics into school and show them off. Sometime, maybe not even one day in particular, he and Travis Bundy started talking about comics. Then, as now, the tastes involved were vastly different. But Colin respected Travis' burgeoning artistic ability, and Travis respected Colin's comic collection. Both young men dreamed of creating the comics of the future...
That is a fairy tale in progress. As of yet, I, Colin have not yet written The Great American Graphic Novel, nor has Travis illustrated one. However, I'm hoping that maybe I can help him out with that. I've known Travis for a decade. We "collaborated" on some comics back in high school, but the final effort was a little lacking. Hell, we were kids and no one took it 100% seriously. It's too bad, though, because if I had spent more time working with Travis then, maybe by now that Great American Graphic Novel would be done, and we would be the darlings of the comics world. "What," they would all invariably ask, "will they do next?"
As it is, I hope everyone out there who sees this is asking that same question now. Make no mistake, the guy that used to do little scribblings and Xerox them, the guy who has spent the last few years honing his craft, the guy I used share a dealer's table with at local dirt-cons hocking our slightly more upscale Xerox comic: The guy's good. He's only getting better. And I'm gonna help him out and try to bask in a little glory myself.
This bio is supposed to tell you about me. I'm just a guy Travis knew in school that loved comics. I want to write them, and Travis thinks I might be of some assistance. That's all there is to it. I bought Travis' first comic he ever did, a little black-and-white gem in junior high. I've been a fan ever since. Step back. He's just getting started.
